Council hit by tool thefts

Electrical tools, including a power washer and two Husqvarna strimmers were stolen from a Westmeath County Council compound in Rochfortbridge at the weekend.

The theft was reported to the gardaí in Mullingar on Monday morning.

Meanwhile, last Thursday, council workers were engaged in maintenance work along the N4 close to the Multyfarnham turn-off, returned to their vehicle to find that a chainsaw had been stolen.
