Photographic championships back in Mullingar

Mullingar Camera Club will host the Irish Photographic Federation’s Club Championship in the Atrium, County Buildings, Mullingar on Saturday and Sunday May 19 and 20.

Over 24 clubs from all over Ireland will compete over the two days, clubs from Cork up to Belfast.

Each club will display 10 black and white prints on Saturday May 19 and 10 colour prints on Sunday May 20.

The winners will be known around 3pm on Sunday.

The prints will be on display in the Atrium from 12.30pm on each day. Admission is free.

The championship always brings together the best of current Irish photography.

The competition will be judged by eminent photographers from Wales, Denmark and England and the standard of images will be very high.

This session is open to the public and more than 40 panels of prints will be seen over the course of the day. Admission is free.
