UPDATE: Wednesday afternoon: Trains are running again (earlier headline: No trains running through Mullingar)
According to staff at Mullingar Train Station, no trains are running.
Passengers arriving for the 10 to 11am train for Dublin a short while ago were being asking to use the Bus Éireann service.
Staff at the station said trees were down on the line near Carrick on Shannon.
They had no further information at that time.
