Yellow wind warning in place

Watch out for falling trees and flying debris during Storm Callum.

Storm Callum looks set to give Westmeath a good shake-up from around 11pm tomorrow night, Thursday, to 9am Friday morning.

The county is subject to a Status Yellow wind warning, as are all Ireland's inland counties – but for all coastal counties there is a Status Orange warning in place.

Met Éireann is advising that in the thirteen inland counties, Storm Callum will be bringing strong southeast winds veering southwest.

Winds will be strongest overnight and early on Friday, gusting between 90 and 110 km/h at coasts.
