Parade for respect and loyalty for Defence Forces

A parade for Respect and Loyalty to support better pay and conditions for the Irish Defence Forces will take place in Cork on Saturday May 4.

Ahead of the parade there will be an open meeting at 1pm on Saturday Februrary 23 in the Maldron Hotel Shandon Cork City for WPDF and all Veterans, if part of a Veterans Organisation,

The adaption of the Constitution for the DF Military Family Forum will be discussed.

Confirmation of starting time and location of the parade will also be discussed.

All Defence Forces veterans organisations, associations, individuals, their families, and the families of all serving DF personal of all ranks and corps, our Reserve Defence Forces, serving and retired and their families are requested to Parade for those who can parade for everyone but themselves.

"The Cork Vets and Families traveled to Dublin for the parade on September 19 last," says local campaigner Noel O'Callaghan, adding "As we head into the local and European elections in May, let us all now travel to Cork and give our Defence Forces a voice - a Truth to Power.

"May the 4th be with you - Together Forward!"
