National vintage event for Mullingar

Vintage enthusiasts from all over Ireland will be heading to Mullingar Equestrian Centre for the national Irish Vintage Engine Tractor Association (IVETA) indoor and outdoor vintage show and autojumble on Sunday April 28.

There will be something for everyone, from vintage cars, tractors, stationary engines and commercial vehicles, to traditional basket-making, music and children’s entertainment.

The show, widely regarded as the biggest and best of its kind in Ireland, has been running since 2002 in Cavan but this year it moves to a new home with a central location and more outdoor facilities and parking.

The IVETA is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and with some 8,500 members, it is the largest vintage organisation in Europe.

“We are very excited about this year’s show and the new venue and location are causing great interest among autojumblers from Ireland and abroad, meaning that we are now fully booked for trade stands,” said John Clancy, national PRO of IVETA.

Exhibitors are asked to come early to avoid disappointment as registration for exhibitors will close at 12.30pm. All exhibitors’ plaques will be given out at 5pm and exhibits must be pre-1989.

With all sorts of collectables and antiques on display and for sale and restaurant facilities on site, this is a show not to be missed.

Doors open to the public at noon. For information, contact 086 8067900 or 087 6329362. The Mullingar Equestrian Centre post code is N91X456.
