Pat Whelan appointed Peace Commissioner

Mullingar Councillor Pat Whelan has this week joined an elite group of individuals when he was appointed a Peace Commissioner.  The Fine Gael man received the news on his return from holidays last week. Speaking to the Examiner, Cllr. Whelan said he arrived home to find notification from Mr. Brian Lenihan T.D.
