Westmeath Rose Aideen Irwin had the 'Pick of the Pooches' on Sunday at the Mullingar Agricultural Show.The local beauty had the difficult task of choosing the winner of the Husse Pet Foods/Westmeath Examiner 'Paws for a Pic' competitionAideen"s heart was captured by Peadar, a Golden Labrador, awarding first prize to his owner Audrey Byrne.Audrey will now enjoy a weekend in the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Galway and Peadar won three months" supply of dog food, from Rathconrath businessman Kieran lambert, Husse Pet Foods.In addition, the winning photo, which was entered in to the Westmeath Examiner competition will be presented, professionally framed to Audrey.Runners up were Evelyn Sheridan from Tyrrellspass and her Golden Retriever Toby in second place and Ailish Maguire and Boxer Jack.
