Coralstown Kinnegad GAA will hold their annual fundraising night at the dog track in Mullingar this Saturday the 2nd August at 8pm sharp. Tickets are available from all committee members for €10.Everyone is invited a long to what promises to be a great community night supporting Coralstown Kinnegad GAA.Mother and Baby GroupThe Mother and Baby group is continuing right through the summer in the Old National School from 10 am until 12 pm each Wednesday. Please bring your own toy and just enjoy a morning with other mothers and babies. The group is open to children up to 4.Set dancing classesThere are set dancing classes in the Old National school on Thursday evenings from 7:15 until 9:45 pm. More information form Barry on 0868238165Pride of PlaceAll the Kinnegad groups involved in Pride of Place competition have received congratulations from Westmeath County Council for the great display of local activity. Kinnegad Community Council wants to thank all the groups who attended the All Ireland Pride of Place in Coralstown Kinnegad GAA Club. A special thank you goes to Coralstown Kinnegad GAA club for hosting the event and providing refreshments and also to Daybreak Kinnegad who supplied the cakes and biscuits.New school to be ready for SeptemberThe new national school in Kinnegad is near completion and will include two new playing grounds, two multi purpose new play areas for basketball and tennis and a new sports field.Serenity HouseThe Tuesday Night socials and Go for Life classes are now finished for July and August. The library is still open every Thursday in Serenity House from 2 until 4 p.m.Midlands ArtsSummer classes at Midlands Arts in the Old National School include Full days of Life-drawing classes will be held on some Saturdays over the Summer: phone 0449348887 for further information. The following will continue over the Summer: Mondays 7-10 pm: Irish Set Dancing with Jim Monaghan (€5 per session) Wednesdays 10-12 am: Kindermusik for Parents and toddlers (free). Anyone interested in any classes in the Arts should contact Shane Brennan, Arts Education Officer (for the Midlands) to book a place on 086/1734626.Kinnegad Parish NewsCemetery Sunday at 2.30 p.m., and in Coralstown on the 17th August at 2.30 p.m. There will also be prayers said on the evening of the 17th August at 6 pm in Hardwood and as 7 p.m. in Clonfad. Mapping work is currently taking place in Clonard cemetery and vehicles are now restricted on the pathways in the cemetery. Baptisms are at 5pm on the first Saturday of the month and at 1.15 on the 3rd Sunday with the Pre-Baptism meeting in the parish office on the last Wednesday of the month at 8.30 p.m.Knock PilgrimageThere is a pilgrimage going to Knock on Sunday the 10th of August and all are welcome to take part. You can book in Flemings shop in Kinnegad or by phone on 9374505 0r 9374658.Parish Building andDevelopment FundThe plans are currently being prepared for Clonard with the view to a planning application and the parish is looking at alternative ways of heating the building so as not to have the total dependency on oil. Many thanks to all who support the Building and Development Fund in the Parish, you can complete and return a CHY2 form and if you make a further donation form the reclaimed tax relief it will help the parish considerably...Pilgrimages AbroadThere is now a pilgrimage planned to Medjugore on the 21st of September for 7 days as a cost of €649.
