There was no winner of the jackpot in the lotto draw of August 11th, 2008. Numbers drawn were 3,5,10.27. There were three "match three" winners and they were John Donoghue, Daire Lynch and Rose McKeogh. Raharney were represented by Michael Boyle, Mark Conroy, Cormac Boyle and Dan Riggs on the team and John Weir on the management panel. Best of luck to the girls in the final on Sunday against Moate.Fr. Aidan WalshThere was widespread sadness in the area with news of the death of Fr. Aidan Walsh, former curate of this parish. A native of Mullingar, Fr. Walsh was appointed to Killucan/Raharney in 1976 and resided in Raharney until his appointment as Parish Priest of Summerhill in 1991. Fr. Aidan was a gentleman and held in high esteem by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. To his family, relatives and friends we extend our deepest sympathy.
