Kells Society staging "Godspell"

The very exciting hit musical Godspell will be presented by Kells Musical and Dramatic Society in their up coming lavish production which kicks off their 33rd season.This is the hit biblical musical like you"ve never seen it before.It is an all-action and innovative fun-filled telling of the parables of Jesus which also takes in his passion and death; is sprinkled with foot tapping chorus numbers and solos which are not to be missed.Choreographer, Sheila Garvey is very busy with the all action and energetic dance routines, which are guaranteed to have you dancing out of your seats.The cast of twenty five form a roving acting troupe who enact the parables of Jesus in a funny, energetic and meaningful way.Director, John Grant has set the action in a disused park in the middle of a city and says that the set will give the cast scope for lots of inventive prop use, adding to the production"s content while allowing it to breath and develop.Brian O"Neill and his team are busy creating all the lighting which will play a mayor part in this production.Musical director, Carmel McGivney in charge of teaching the songs and harmonies to principals and cast.Godspell will be staged from Wednesday the 1st to 5th October in St Vincent De Paul Theatre, Kells.The booking office opened from Wednesday lasst, 24th September at 10am in St Vincent De Paul Theatre, Kells.
