The late Peggy Nally

Peggy Nally, (nee Coughlan), who passed away on 26th November 2008 at Mullingar General Hospital at the age of 81 years of age will be sadly missed by all her family.Peggy, who lived all her life in Mullingar, spent 48 years at her home in Sundays Well, and her final nine years at Newbrook Nursing Home.Possessed of a loving and generous heart, she will be remembered fondly by family, neighbours and her many friends. In a quiet way, she devoted much of her time to bringing solace and consolation to those who most needed it; she encouraged those who felt low to become active especially by joining her in walks and swimming. In this way she brought them out of dark times of sadness to a renewed sense of hope.Peggy was a person of deep faith and a source of inspiration in her positive outlook on life. She was also a deeply religious woman who attended daily Mass and had a particularly strong faith in St Therese of Lisieux. Her joy was her family and she was always supportive of her husband, sons, daughter and grandchildren who carry with them many happy memories of her love.Peggy spent the last nine years of her life at Newbrook Nursing Home, Mullingar, which became her second home. There she formed a bond with staff and patients alike. The extraordinarily caring staff and wonderfully devoted close friends she made there looked after her with a deep love and affection.Peggy is survived by her husband Nicholas, sons and daughter: Bernard (Dublin), Joseph, Martin, Nicholas (Leixlip) and Catherine Weafer (Los Angeles). She is also deeply mourned by her sister Annie Fahy, (Ballinasloe), by twelve grandchildren, daughters-in-law and son-in-law, all her extended family and a large circle of close and treasured friends. All those who were touched by her kindness and good heart are grateful for having known her. May she be blessed and rewarded in heaven.Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
