Delvin woman"s photograph in final of national competition

A Delvin woman has made it to the final of the EBS 'Family Moments' challenge. Geraldine Murphy-Fenlon is one of thirteen finalists chosen from the 3,000 entries submitted for the competition.The grand prize is €20,000. Her photograph shows a touching waterside scene, with a fantastic sunset.The overall winner is to be named at the national final event in Dublin on February 27.The EBS Family Moments Photography Challenge is a national competition to find the photograph that best captures family moments, in recognition of the EBS family which has grown, over the past 70 years, to over 430,000 members nationwide. All entries received during the competition could also feature in a national advertising and marketing campaign for EBS in the future.The winning photograph will be selected from the final 13 by a panel of experts including award-winning photographer and dad, Byran O"Brien; and model, mum and journalist Laura Bermingham.EBS Head of Marketing, Aidan Power explained: 'The grand prize of €20,000 will be awarded to the most imaginative, original photograph celebrating "family moments".The standard of entry was really excellent and I would like to wish Geraldine the best of luck in the final.'EBS has been helping Irish families finance their homes and futures for over 70 years and in recognition of our heritage, we are seeking to put real people and their family experiences at the heart of our communications.'
