Win an LCD TV at Londis Kilbeggan launch

Mick and Shirley Donegan are officially launching Londis Kilbeggan this week and in the space of just a year the supermarket has already gone from strength to strength.Of course the couple were already well known in Kilbeggan, having run the Olde Volunteer Bar, which they have now transformed into the Londis store. The couple have retained the off-licence section of the bar which is now stocked with over 400 wines, ranging from a traditional bottle of French red to New World gems - and of course for that special occasion Londis Kilbeggan also stocks top of the range champagnes and sparkling wines.Mick and Shirley took the decision to break away from the pub trade to 'change with the times' and the change has proved to be just the right move as the supermarket is now thriving at the heart of the Kilbeggan community.Their success has been in large part due to the fact that theirs is a customer driven store and what the customer wants to have in stock, they will get.'I always ask people what they would like us to get in and we always take on board their suggestions,' said Shirley. 'We like to keep the shop well stocked and we have a great staff who take real pride in keeping the place looking great.'Really this launch is to thank all of our loyal customers and let new ones know that we are here and to welcome them in.'Some lucky customers will certainly be rewarded at the store"s official launch on April 3 when shoppers will find themselves entered into a top-drawer prize draw when they spend just €30 in store.Prizes on offer will include an LCD TV and five weekend breaks in Kilkenny, Kerry, Dublin, Galway and Limerick.Londis Kilbeggan takes pride in offering an extensive range of services to its customers which include: an off-licence, hot/plate and deli food counter (open from 8 to 4 daily), news and magazines, call credit, fruit and vegetables, a diary cabinet, dry grocery, frozen food, health and beauty products, stationery and even toys.At the minute the stores prices are as competitive as the major supermarkets with two litres of milk on offer for €1.65 and six eggs selling for just €1. Londis Kilbeggan has gone to great length to make sure that their prices are the best they can offer customers.
