Congratulations to Gillian McNamee, from Market Hill, and David Healy, from Dublin, on their marriage at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer in Ballymore.And followed by a reception at the Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone. Gillian is daughter of Noel and Jo McNamee.SympathySympathy is extended to the Roche family, of Killare, on the death of Andy Snr. Mr. Roche, who was very well known and liked locally, is survived by his wife Maureen, daughters Catherine and Irene, and son Andrew Jnr. There was a large attendance at the funeral Mass which was celebrated in Ballymore on Saturday last.Pool successThe Westmeath Pool Association Cup went to Ballymore man and Irish Pool Association secretary, Robert Malynn. In a thrilling final on Sunday night in Club S, Robert beat Mullingar man Terry Parker (6-5) in a super final and is now a hot favourite to win the Westmeath Pool Championship that starts Sunday 26th April and will run through the week.Ballymore Community GamesTag RugbyThe U/11 B team got off to a flying start. They were victorious in their match against Ballinacargy/Sonna"s B team and now progress to the second round which will take place shortly.The U/14 B team, without a full squad, played extremely well, and put up a brave fight but were narrowly beaten by Ballinacargy/Sonna"s B team.
