Multiple Multy breakins

Gardaí are investigating three beakins that occurred in and around the Multyfarnham area, which Gardaí believe to be connected. The first took place in Ballindurrow between ten in the morning and 12.30 in the afternoon.Intruders gained entry to a house via the back window and escaped with a sum of cash.The second took place between 12 noon and 3.30pm at a private residence in Crookedwood, and again entry was gained by forcing a back kitchen window. Nothing was taken in this burglary but the house was ransacked.The third occurred at a house in Foxburrow, Crookedwood in and around the same time. The back window of the house was forced once again and this time the thieves made off with jewellery and cash.Earlier in the week, a burglary occurred at a house in Castlepollard. The suspects gained entry to the house in Lir Park via the front door between Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. A quantity of jewellery and cash was taken.And between Wednesday and Friday of last week, entry was gained to a house in Ballygillen, Bracklyn, Delvin. The house was ransacked and a small amount of property stolen.Finally, Gardaí are investigating the theft of a BMW which was taken overnight from a house located in the Village Green, Killucan on Wednesday last. Intruders first entered the house through a rear door before getting away with the car which was parked outside.
