Top scores for St Joseph's, Rochfortbridge

The car park at St Joseph's in Rochfortbridge was buzzing last Wednesday morning as hopeful students turned out to see what their hard efforts had brought in the way of Leaving Cert results.There was more delight than disappointment and medical student to be Miriam Wynne was the envy of all when she discovered that she had taken the maximum 600 points."I studied hard and was expecting to do well but still I was surprised and over the moon of course when I opened the results," she said. "I'm off to UCD to do medicine, I hope anyway. Even with these results there is still an aptitude test to get on the medicine course, so I have to get through that as well."Niamh McEntegert also had good news to share, scoring an impressive 580, the student is now of to St Pat's in Dublin to do primary teaching. "It's great news, yes I'm very happy to be able to do the course that I wanted to do. Everyone I have spoken to has done really well and of course Miriam's result is amazing."NUI Maynooth was a popular choice amongst students and both Megan Brick and Karen Treacy were delighted to have taken enough points to gain entry to Arts and Social Science degrees.
