Castletown Geoghegan CCE - Annual General Meeting: Our Branch AGM will take place on Thursday, 29th October, 2009 at 9pm. in St. Michael's Hall, Castletown-Geoghegan.We need a good turnout on the night and we are always on the look out for new Officers and new Volunteers to keep the Irish culture and heritage alive and well in our area.Set Dancing Classes: The Branch Set Dancing classes continue every Tuesday night at 8.30pm in St. Michael's Hall, Castletown-Geoghegan under the guidance of Nicky and Maura Finn. Attendance has been quite good so far but we would encourage more people, especially young people, to make the effort to attend.Annual Membership: Membership for the new Comhaltas year is now due. Membership is €20 for a Family and €12 for Adults. Money may be given to any Committee member.Hallowe'enRemember to be safe with all the Hallowe'en activities and remember to keep an eye out for all friends and neighbours during these dark nights.Pastoral Council meetingA meeting of the Castletown-Geoghegan Pastoral Council will take place in the Parochial House, Castletown-Geoghegan on Monday, 9th November, 2009 at 8pm.Castletown-Geoghegan Lucky Numbers drawThere was no Jackpot winner in last week's Draw which was held in the "Drake Inn".The winning numbers were 4, 7, 17 and 22. There was no jackpot winner and Mai Kirby, Sean McHale and Fintan Clarke matched three numbers. Next week's Draw takes place in the "Country Inn", Dysart and the Jackpot will be €3,100.21st Birthday greetingMany congratulations to David Deegan, son of Peter and Anne Deegan, Killeenlaghan, Ballinagore, who celebrated his 21st Birthday recently.Ennell Shamrocks winCongratulations to Ennell Shamrocks Under 16 Footballers who had a great win over Shannon Gaels in the Final of the Under 16 Premier Championship which was played in Cusack Park on Saturday last. Well done to the panel, their mentors, their parents and all involved with this young team.St. Michael's NS race nightSt. Michael's National School, Castletown-Geoghegan are holding a Race Night on 21st November, 2009 in the "Drake Inn", Castletown-Geoghegan, to raise funds for a new classroom and modernisation of school facilities. Sponsors for races and advertisements in the race programme would be much appreciated, as well as support on the night.BCDL Friendship ClubThe BCDL Friendship Club continues its activities each Monday in St. Michael's Hall, Castletown-Geoghegan commencing at 10.30am. The Club is open to all Senior Citizens from the Ballinagore, Castletown-Geoghegan, Dysart and Loughnavalley areas.Do come along and join in the activities, make new friends, renew old friendships, have a laugh and if there are any men folk who would like to come along they would be made so welcome by everyone.SympathyWe extend our deepest sympathy to Blaine and the Lehart family, to the Cowley, Clarke, Heraty and Kennedy families following the death of Blaine's sister, Michelle, which occurred over the week-end, following a long and courageous battle.Our deepest sympathy to Catherine Ennis, Loughlum, Ballinagore, on the recent death of her father, Mr. Sean McCann, Walsh Island, Co.
