US couple wed in Kerry - the Mullingar connection

Last month, a young American couple, travelled from their homes in Chicago to exchange their vows in the picturesque village of Ballyheigue in the kingdom of Kerry.Siobhán Sheehan was the third member of her family to walk down the local church aisle to marry her fiancee, Norm Schnouta. And the family love affair with beautiful Ballyheigue stems from the everlasting memories of magical summer holidays spent overlooking the expanse of the Atlantic ocean. And there is a Mullingar connection. Siobhán is the daughter of Dublin born, Dr. Joe Sheehan and his wife, Nora, the former Nora McDonnell, who hails from Lynn, Mullingar. Nora's brother, Jimmy is the very well known auctioneer and businessman. Two of Siobhán's sisters preceded her down the short aisle in Ballyheigue in the recent past and in following in their footsteps to marry Norm, Siobhán fulfilled a lifetime's dream. The newly weds, who celebrated their marriage, with family and friends, in Dunloe Castle in Killarney are wished every happiness.
