Song, Art and Irish Dancing at All-Ireland Community Games Final

Three teams travelled from North Westmeath to represent their county and compete alongside 3,000 children from all around the country at the HSE Community Games National Finals at Athlone Institute of Technology.North Westmeath provided a Ballad group, Irish Dancing Team, and an entrant for the art and recitation.Representing their county in the Ballad Group were Cliodhna Daly,Glenidan, twin sisters Niamh Carter and Aine Carter, Glenidan, Marie Egan, Fore, Kia Swinbourne, Collinstown and Laura Browne, Collinstown.The recitation class was Blathnaid Daly, Glenidan and competing in the art competition was Emma Carter.The Irish Dancing team that competed in Athlone were Bibi O'Reilly, Fore, Yasim Fitzpatrick, Collinstown and Katie Egan. Fore, Mary Doyle, Ranaghan, Aoibheann Dolan, Fore and Naomi Fitzpatrick, Collinstown.The August National Finals of the HSE Community Games will take place from the 14th to the 16th and 20th to the 22nd of August, 2010.The community can come out and support the Community Games during the Destination Sports Festival. The Westmeath County Finals are being held at Mullingar Harriers Grounds in Grange. The day will commence with a parade of competitors from the Fair Green at 12.30pm and the athletic competitions will get underway at 1.30. Field Events will get underway on Monday evening at the Harriers grounds at 6.30pm.
