The late Breege Bell

The late Breege Bell, who died on August 16 at the age of 74, was second eldest of a large and respected family from The Derries, Drumcree, Collinstown.Miss Bell, died at St. Camillus Nursing Centre in Killucan, after having been ill for some time, but had, prior to her retirement, been a busy and active woman, possessed of a great intelligence, and great get-up and go.She trained as a national school teacher, and taught for some time at Ballinvalley NS in Delvin.Later, however, Miss Bell decided to go into the bookmaking business, and she opened her own business in Dublin.All her life, she visited home regularly, and she wil be missed by her brother William, in Collinstown, and her three other brothers, and six sisters, as well as her nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives and friends.The remains were greeted at St. Mary’s Church Collinstown by Fr. Michael Walsh, P.P., Collinstown, who also celebrated the funeral Mass and officiated at the graveside.
