Hidden treasure is job security in Easter Hunt

A fun treasure hunt organised by Mullingar Chamber has a serious purpose behind it.

“The people of Mullingar have an important part to play in holding on to jobs in the town” said Pat Whelan, Mullingar Chamber president.

“Mullingar Chamber has only one message: if you live in the town, shop in the town. This will secure jobs.

“It is that straightforward.”

The Easter Treasure Hunt is the brainchild of Jennifer Meehan, who will be hiding Mullingar Chamber Shopping Vouchers throughout the town and super sleuths will be able to find them if they can crack the clues on the Chamber’s Facebook Page.

“Mullingar Chamber Shopping Vouchers are not just for Christmas. I would urge people to consider them the perfect gift for Communion gifts, Confirmation, Easter, Fathers’ Day or just a simple but really useful thank you,” said Pat.

“They are a great job ahead of important events like Communions as many parents I am sure would love a voucher they can use in any one of sixty outlets in the town. So they could put it to groceries, clothes, getting their hair done and even putting it towards a meal in one of the hotels in the area.

“It’s every cent that counts and I really think people who want to see a vibrant Mullingar should think about how they can play their  part in that,” said Pat.
