Potholes and triangles

Labour councillor Pat Collins asked the council to repair the potholes in the car park exit from Mullingar Railway Station, and also asked if any discussions had been held with Irish Rail in relation to the kerbed triangle at that location, “which is still in a very dangerous condition”.

Cllr Collins was told at the June meeting of Mullingar Town Council that potholes would be repaired as soon as possible and that a meeting had been arranged with Iarnród Éireann in relation to the triangle, when it is hoped “to be in a position to progress this matter before the next meeting of Mullingar Town Council”.

Another plot of potholes was raised by Cllr Ruth Illingworth at the same meeting, this time at the Cullionbeg Road, asking that the council consider resurfacing the road. The Fine Gael councillor was informed that the potholes would be repaired as soon as possible.
