Westmeath v Donegal ladies clash part of enticing triple bill in Carrick

Westmeath's clash with Donegal in the TG4 Ladies Senior Football Championship forms part of an enticing triple header in Carrick-on-Shannon this Saturday.

The addition to the card of the eagerly-awaited All-Ireland men's SFC Qualifier between Donegal and Laois has led to a change of throw-in time for the Westmeath ladies match.

The Westmeath ladies were due to take on Donegal at 2.30pm, but the match will now take place in Páirc Seán MacDiarmada at 3.15pm.

It will be preceded by the Clare v Kildare Ladies Senior Football Championship Round 1 Qualifier (1:30pm).

The Westmeath ladies match will be followed by the meeting of reigning All-Ireland champions Donegal and Laois in the All-Ireland SFC Round 4 Qualifiers (5pm).

Donegal will, of course, be putting their All-Ireland title on the line after their shock defeat in the Ulster final to Monaghan last weekend.

The presence of the Donegal v Laois match on Saturday's programme makes this trio of games highly attractive, and there should be a large attendance in Carrick.
