Mullingar's rock chick part of new McColgan show

Mullingar musician Tanya O’Callaghan is to be part of exhilarating new show from the producers of Riverdance!

Heartbeat of Home: A Dream Voyage premieres at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre for a limited run on October 2 to Saturday October 12.


Billed as an “electrifying new music and dance spectacular”, Heartbeat of Home features the dynamic, vibrant components of traditional Irish, Latin and Afro-Cuban music and dance and a world-class cast of thirty-nine.


It includes a ten-piece band creating a new and electrifying sound written by award-winning, Golden-Globe-nominated composer Brian Byrne.


The World Premiere of Heartbeat of Home will take place at The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre Dublin on Wednesday October 2 for a limited run with special price previews from tonight, Wednesday September 25.

Tanya O’Callaghan who is most well known locally for the Meteor Award nominated band Ever27 and as the creator and director behind an inventive, innovative online video series known as Tanya’s Gold Blend!


A freelance bassist/musician, with an eclectic impressive career to date, the Mullingar lass is based between Los Angeles and Ireland working with various artists and bands, both in studios and for live performances worldwide. 

With an already striking presence on the Irish and international music scene Tanya’s career continues to prosper.

Heartbeat of Home employs high-definition, cutting-edge projection technology and has an engaging narrative structure. Produced by Moya Doherty, conceived and directed by John McColgan with lyrics and narrative by award-winning Irish writer Joseph O’Connor.


With world-class dancers from Ireland, USA, Australia, Britain, Canada, Italy, Mexico and Spain and choreography by David Bolger, the production will create a dreamworld of joyous, heart-stopping, high-energy music and dance.
