Savage Christmas Tshirts

Savage Christmas Tshirts is made up of five people from various parts of the country, Linda Williams (Westmeath) Angela Carleton (Roscommon), Tom Keegan, David Sheridan, & Katie McCormack (all from Meath). The concept arose after some ill gotten advice from some of our career guidance teachers many moons ago in Secondary School which lead to some of us spending 7 years studying Architecture!!

Which, I do not need to point out, has somewhat deteriorated in the past number of years here in Ireland. We came together to brainstorm some ideas to offset the allure of emigration and to try put our own stamp on the Irish market. This lead us down the road of humorous Christmas Tshirt making for people all around the World to wear over the festive season.

We have a range of six Christmas tshirts, Birthday Pints, The Crib, Christmas Turkey, Hipster Snowman, Love/Hate and Christmas Pattern. Since our launch in mid-November these designs have been well received by people both at home and abroad. Our Tshirts have been shipped to Australia, New Zealand, Peru, America and Canada, not bad for a small start up business!

Susan Loughnane, Debbie of Love/Hate fame, has expressed her delight at the range of Tshirts we have designed and sent us in a picture of her sporting her favourite one, no surprise there that it was the Love/Hate Tshirt that she favored.

We pride ourselves in using local Irish trades in every step of our Savage Christmas Tshirt production. The Savage Christmas Tshirt crew created and designed the witty Tshirts, which were then produced on 100% cotton Tshirts by a local Dublin Tshirt printing company. All postage, packaging and materials used in our advertising are also sourced locally here in Ireland with Will Design in Westmeath being very supportive to our projects. So from a wee notion in our heads to it landing on our customers’ doorsteps, our Savage Christmas Tshirts have had Irish hands all over them!!

We have enjoyed success both through fulfilling orders online through our website and also through attending markets all across Ireland. Being physically at the Christmas Markets gives us the opportunity to meet directly with our customers and hearing their feedback. I think we get most enjoyment from witnessing the moment when the penny drops as someone reads our tshirt in front of our eyes. Our next market dates will both be in Blackrock, Dublin on Saturday December 14th and Sunday December 15th.
