Leinster call-up for Niall O'Brien

Rising Westmeath star, Niall O’Brien has been included in manager, Joe Dooley’s 26 strong panel for the Interprovincial Hurling semi-final against Ulster on Sunday next.

The Castletown-Geoghegan clubman will be among illustrious company linking up with a host of top hurlers, including Kilkenny duo, Tommy Walsh and Eoin Larkin, Dublin’s Conal Keaney and Joe Bergin from neighbours, Offaly. Among Joe’s selectors are DJ Carey and former Dublin legend, Humphrey Kelleher.

Sunday’s clash with the Ulstermen will take place in Trim and has a 2pm throw-in.
While Cusack Park will undoubtedly be the real draw for Westmeath GAA fans on the day, hurling devotees may be tempted to make the short hop to support the young Castletown-Geoghegan man
