Chamber planning for cycling championships

Mullingar Chamber of Commerce is looking ahead to the end of the month when the National Cycling Championships come to Mullingar, and is organising a meeting tonight, Monday June 9.

The bike racing opens with a time trial on Thursday June 26 in Rochfortbridge, then there’s a rest day on the Friday before the action resumes on Saturday June 28 and Sunday 29 at Multyfarnham.

More than 400 competitors are expected in the area for the weekend, along with their support crews, friends and families.

Lakeside Wheelers and Mullingar Chamber are currently organising a event on Saturday evening 28 June, to greet the visitors, and the chamber would like you to embrace this opportunity and showcase your business at that time.

They have arranged a meeting for this evening, June 9, at 6.30pm in The Greville Arms Hotel to plan the weekend.
