Breaking news drive by shooting in ballymore

Gardaí have rushed to Ballymore following reports of a drive-by shooting in the village.

The incident occurred around half an hour ago, at High Street, in an area where the village's businesses are concentrated.

It is understood that the apparent target was not injured.

A car has been burnt out just a short distance from the village in what is believed to be a connected incidient.
