Blowing up a storm high winds forecast

Heavy rain and strong winds are set to be the order of the day, with gusts reaching up to 90km/h later this evening.

This weather pattern looks set to continue on Thursday and Friday as Met Eireann has put a status Yellow Warning in place.

Tonight temperatures will drop to around 2 degrees Celsius and wintery squally showers are expected.

This showers will continue on Thursdays with winds reaching 80km/h.

Friday morning will be extremely windy and rain may be heavy.

The weekend looks to continue to be windy and wet.
