James P Sullivan who recorded a double overnight at Wetherby

Two on the trot for red hot sullivan

Streete jockey, James P Sullivan, or Jimmy as trainer Ruth Carr is prone to call him has hit a hot streak with three winners in two days. His latest successes came at Wetherby last night where he recorded a double on Rosy Ryan and Slemy.

The Tina Jackson trained Rosy Ryan was a three lengths winner at the handsome price of 16/1 while the Ruth Carr trained Slemy odged home in front at odds of 9/2.

On Monday, in Ayr, he piloted the Ruth Carr trained Advance to success. Sullivan pushed the 9/1 chance home by a neck while he came up short on 7/2 favourite Exotic Guest at the same meeting.

The Westmeath native has a good book of rides for the remainder of the week including previous visitors to the winner’s enclosure, Red Cape, racing in Catterick today, Meshardal and San Cassiano who run later in the week.
