Psychiatric nurses association postpone industrial action

The Psychiatric Nurses Association (PNA) has said today that following a meeting with HSE management yesterday (Tuesday), industrial action which was due to begin today at St Peter’s Centre and Lough Sheever Intellectual Disability (ID) services in Westmeath has been postponed.

The postponement for one week to allow management to forward in writing confirmation of commitments given to address the issues in the two services and set a date for further meeting to resolve the dispute.

PNA Nurses had voted for industrial action, up to and including strike action on a phased bases, at St Peter’s Centre, Castlepollard, and Lough Sheever Intellectual Disability (ID) services, Mullingar, two weeks ago in protest at the growing impact of staff shortages on the services.
