Ballinagore girl's bid for Blue Jean Country Queen!

Patricia Lynam is Westmeath’s representative in the 2016 Blue Jean Country Queen Festival.

The 22-year-old student is a member of Ballinagore branch of Macra na Feirme and will compete for a first place prize of €1,000 and the title of Blue Jean Country Queen 2016.

This year will mark the 29th anniversary of the festival, organised by Meath Macra na Feirme, and 28 contestants will mark the event by arriving in Athboy from Friday June 3, where they will be interviewed on stage.

Among the artists on this year’s programme are Nigel Connell, fresh from The Voice of Ireland with his band The Madisons, who play the Festival Marquee on Saturday June 4, while Matt Leavy returns to play on Sunday June 5.

Patricia, a music lover, guitarist and singer, lists art, DIY, cooking and baking, and photography, among her hobbies.
