Brendan Howlin to meet Longford Westmeath Labour members

Labour TD Willie Penrose hosts a meeting of Labour Party members with newly-elected party leader, Brendan Howlin, in Mullingar today.

Mr Howlin said: “I’m looking forward to meeting Labour members from the Longford Westmeath constituency.

“When I was elected leader, I made a commitment that I would visit constituencies around the country to meet Labour Party members and supporters.

“I will be taking the opportunity in Mullingar to outline my plans for rebuilding the party, but I will also be listening to what they have to say about what policy priorities we should pursue as a party, how we can reconnect with voters, and how we can best organise at grass-roots level.

“I would like to thank Willie Penrose for inviting me to Longford Westmeath and I look forward to what I’m sure will be a very positive meeting.”

The meeting is at 8pm, today Thursday June 23 in The Greville Arms Hotel, Mullingar.
