Epic adventure man starts day 50 in Mullingar

Stevey McGeown set off from the centre of Mullingar this morning on day 50 of his 60-day round Ireland running challenge.

Having had treatment with Alan Kane, Stevey had company from some of the Maurice Looby Fitness runners, and a few members of staff from Mullingar Credit Union as he started.

Last year the Armagh man did 100 marathon in 100 days, with his friend Larry Maguire, and they raised money for the Laura Maguire Foundation.

On his website, Stevery says: "The support I received from friends, family and the running community is something I’ll never forget.

"This time I want to push the boat out even further and take on the ultra challenge of completing 60 ultra marathons in 60 days."

Stevey is raising funds this time around for the Keith Duffy Foundation.

The purpose of this adventure is to inspire the people of Ireland, the UK and beyond to new heights of possibilities within their own health, wellbeing and potential as they witness Stevey going beyond what many consider to be impossible, his website states.

He invites anyone to join him along some of his journey, whether 5k or 50k. You can register at steveysepicadventure.com.
