UPDATE – re-opening of N52 between Cloghan Cross (L-1501) and Killynan Cooke (L-57231)

Following a three-month road closure of the N52 between Cloghan Cross and Turin Church, Westmeath County Council wishes to advise that the N52 re-opened to traffic late Tuesday night, June 13, following numerous temporary road safety audits throughout the day.

Substantial construction works remains to be carried out by the construction contractor, Fox Building and Engineering Ltd.

This section of the N52 will continue to be part of a construction work site over the next number of months.

There will be a strict 50kmh speed limit in place and other traffic management measures including lane closures under traffic lights.

The public are requested to exercise due care and diligence while passing through the site.

Westmeath County Council acknowledges with gratitude the patience and co-operation of the general public, local residents and businesses, and wish to express its regret for any inconvenience caused.
