The Academic to headline Vicar Street

The Academic confirm headline shows at Vicar Street, London, Manchester and a European Tour with The Kooks this November!

After spending the majority of this year making waves in the US, indie rockers The Academic return to the Ireland on November 4 for their only Irish headline date of 2017 at Vicar Street.

The Westmeath band have also just announced their biggest UK headline shows to date in London and Manchester, and hot off the press have just announced a European tour supporting The Kooks.

In what has been a meteoric rise since releasing their debut EP Loose Friends just under two years ago, the band, who received a Choice Music Prize nomination in 2015 for their debut single, quickly followed up with sold out headline shows across Ireland, the UK and Europe and much talked about performances at a number of international festivals.

Already having amassed over 7 million streams, The Academic have just released their brand new single ‘Bear Claws’ which is currently been championed all over Irish radio but also abroad, hitting the Billboard Alternative Chart in the US, BBC Radio 1 in the UK and by several other European radio stations.
