Life sciences and engineering expo returns to Mullingar

The National Life Sciences and Engineering Expo returns to the Mullingar Park Hotel again on June 28 and 29.

Run by Mullingar Chamber, the event showcases Irish manufacturing excellence and offers attendees the opportunity to see the latest technologies and products.

This year there will be representation from industries such as medtech, bio-pharma, pharma, automation, aerospace, automotive and polymers, and speakers will include Julie Sinnamon, CEO Enterprise Ireland, Prof. Fergal J O’Brien, chair, Bioengineering and Regenerative Medicine, Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, Barry Kennedy, CEO Irish Manufacturing Research, and John O’Dea, global director of Esophageal Diseases at Medtronic.

The emphasis is on sharing ideas, expert collaboration, exploring innovation-led growth, and establishing trading relationships, and there is an informal networking session in Mullingar town centre on the Thursday evening.

The LEOs of Westmeath, Longford, Offaly, and Laois have a dedicated zone at the expo where they will show The Engenuity Cluster of 14 companies from The Engenuity Midlands Innovation Programme.

The programme is part of the effort to promote market-led innovation, stakeholder collaboration, best practice transfer and product and trade development in the Midlands Engineering Cluster (midlandsengineering.ie).
