Yesterday, Mandate issued a statement, as follows:

Lloyds Pharmacy workers to strike for full day on Friday 6th July as company continues to refuse right to representation

More than 240 Lloyds Pharmacy workers in almost 40 stores nationwide will participate in their first full day of industrial action this Friday, 6th July 2018.

The strike takes place as the company continues to refuse to implement a Labour Court recommendation which stated that the company should allow their workers trade union representation.

To date, Lloyds Pharmacy workers have participated in three work stoppages over the last three weeks.

This action comes as Mandate Trade Union escalates the dispute but continues to call for the company to engage in meaningful negotiations in order to prevent any disruption to the company, their workers and the public who depend on Lloyds Pharmacy for their medications.

Mandate has scheduled two more full days of strike action on Thursday 12th July and Friday 20th July should the company not enter negotiations.
