Extreme tractor run planned again for next Easter

The team who organised a successful fundraising tractor run from Dublin to Mayo at Easter this year are doing it again next year.

Over the two days of the run, which used the N4 and passed by Mullingar, €96,424 was raised for Crumlin hospital in Dublin and the Special Care and Paediatrics Unit at Mayo University Hospital.

Next Easter, in April 19-20, 2019, the Dublin to Mayo Charity Extreme Tractor Run will be repeating the feat and hoping to exceed last year’s amount.

The run will finish at the Big Red Barn in Mayo.

The charities for the 2019 run are the Special Care Baby Units and Paediatrics at both the Midlands Regional Hospitalm Mullingar and Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar, and the National Rehab Centre in Dun Laoghaire.

The local contacts for the event are James Wallace and Brian Crum, and on Saturday December 8 and Sunday December 9, they will be on Market Square in Mullingar selling tickets to help raise funds.

The main prize is a Massey Ferguson 135, and tickets are €10 each or €20 for three.
