Patty vows to buy new tractor with €57,000 winnings

It looks like the dream of owning a new tractor may become a reality on the Dolan family farm in Streamstown after lucky mother of five, Patty McHugh Dolan, won €57,000 on the National Lottery Winning Streak Game Show on Saturday night last, January 26.

After her name was initially announced as one of the contestants, Patty had joked that she would buy a new Massey Ferguson tractor for the family farm if she won big at the weekend.

Not only did she win big, but she also got to spin the wheel, making her the biggest winner among the five contestants on the show.

Patty, who has been married to cattle farmer, Declan, for the past 28 years, won €27,000 on the Winning Streak wheel, to add to the €30,000 she had already won during the televised game show.

She was cheered on from the audience at Saturday night’s show by husband, Declan, and four of her five children, Jamie, Jason, Caitlin and Lisa,

Her other son, John, was unable to join his family as he is living in Sydney, Australia.

A lover of social dancing in her spare time, Patty McHugh Dolan dances with a group in Cumberstown, and has vowed to keep her promise and go ahead with the purchase of a new tractor for the family farm.
