Mount Street to go one-way from this week

Significant changes to the traffic flow in Mullingar are being implemented this week, effective from today, Tuesday June 4.

The major change is that the upper part of Mount Street will be come one-way, going north – in the direction of Market Square.

The flow of traffic at Dominick Place will also reverse, and a new exit from the town centre will be the one-way street between Dominick Street and Blackhall – the one directly opposite Mary Street, between Galvin for Men and Lingi’s chip shop.

It is currently one-way northbound, and will now be one-way southbound.

Traffic will go south on that street and can leave the town via the new road through the Blackhall car park.
