Open day at ‘hidden gem of Mullingar’

Mullingar Congress Centre is hosting an open day on Wednesday of this week, August 21 (10am-1pm). There will be free workshops and tea and coffee for visitors, and everyone is welcome to drop in and see what happens at the centre.

Considered by the team who work there as a “hidden gem of Mullingar”, the Congress Centre was established more than 20 years ago as a non-profit organisation whose heart is firmly in the community.

A spokesperson said: “Our highly qualified tutors offer an array of QQI accredited courses from business administration to training and development. Testimonies from our trainees say the relaxed and relatable learning environment helped them achieve their goals.

“In addition to our formal QQI courses, we run a number of hobby courses, such as creative writing, yoga, tai chi, meditation, adult choir, Italian, Pilates, crochet, Rinka Midlands (gymnastics for pre-schoolers), Junior Song and Dance Club and our most popular course – free computer classes for beginners.

“We also offer large and smaller conference rooms for hire to meet training and business needs. Other services are curriculum vitae/interview preparation and our second-hand secondary school bookshop open during the summer.”

“Drop in to see all we have to offer on August 21 and see how we can help you start a new adventure!”
