Mullingar On Ice opens tomorrow Friday!

Mullingar Chamber have announced that the Mullingar On Ice will open for its first session this year tomorrow, Friday November 22, at 3.10pm.

Friday will also mark the end of the early bird ticket sale which offers the best value tickets available for only €9 per person on iceskating.ie.

Early bird tickets can be booked for any session on any date but there are only 20 early bird tickets available for each session.

Many sessions have sold out of early bird tickets already so if you want to get the cheapest tickets available don’t delay in booking online at iceskating.ie.

Enhanced Experience

As set-up commenced on the ice skating rink in Mullingar Town Park people have noticed a change in layout and shape of the exterior structure.

A core focus of Mullingar Chamber for this year is to improve on the success of last year’s event and create an even better experience for customers.

As part of this, Mullingar On Ice will include a coffee shop, Ninny Muggins, inside the ice rink and a wider viewing area. There will also be live event photography this year.

All customers are asked to attend at least 15 minutes before ice skating session start times to allow to get their skates on!

The Only Ice Skating Rink in the Midlands

Last year, Mullingar Chamber’s customer surveys showed that over 80% of visitors were from outside of Mullingar, some from Roscommon, Laois, Offaly, Cavan, Meath, Longford, Kilkenny, Leitrim and Kildare solely for the ice rink.

Mullingar on Ice is the only ice skating rink in the midlands and offers a huge attractions to families and visitors who want to avoid the traffic jams and queues in Dublin.

While customers can pay at the rink, Mullingar Chamber recommend booking online in advance to avoid disappointment particularly if you are travelling long distances.

Many sessions sold out in advance last year and weekends and Christmas school holidays were particularly busy.

School Skate Sessions

Would a class trip to an ice skating rink appeal to your students? Mullingar on Ice cater for school trips during school hours with private sessions available for classes or school tours.

Teachers are admitted for free while students avail of the early bird rate of €9 per person. Skating aids are provided to help beginners and they will also benefit from more space than on some of the busy public sessions.

Early Bird Sale Ends Friday

Mullingar on Ice will open on Friday November 22 and run until January 12, Wednesday to Sunday. Midweek sessions commence at 3.10pm with the last session starting at 7.50pm.

At weekends there will be earlier sessions starting from 10.30am. There will also be extended opening days and sessions throughout the Christmas school holiday period.
