Tommy Martin and Martin Shaw.The Mullingar Conference of the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul began the lead into their Annual Christmas Appeal and House Collection by spending a day at the AIB branch in the town to raise awareness and funds, "and to feel the pulse of our community".
There was a warm welcome from management and staff at AIB as SVP members flew the flag for the work of their organisation in the community.
The Conference extended "sincere thanks to AIB for helping us help people they don’t even know".
Collection points for toys and food are Ozanam House, Bishopsgate Street, Mullingar – and any business or school that wants to host a Giving Tree should contact the local SVP.
The door collection takes place on Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8.
