Storm Jorge is headed our way!

Met Éireann have issued no less than four weather warnings for this Saturday as Storm Jorge is set to hit Ireland.

Named by the Spanish Met Office, Jorge will bring strong winds and heavy downpours, with two status Orange wind warnings issued for Galway, Mayo, Clare and Kerry, as well as Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo.

A status Yellow rainfall warning is also in place Munster, Connacht and Donegal, as well as Cavan, Monaghan, Roscommon, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.

Some severe winds are expected during Saturday associated with Storm Jorge, pronounced 'Hor-hay'.

Gusts of 110 to 130km/h, possibly higher in very exposed areas, are forecast, while rainfall accumulations of 20 to 30mm expected during Friday and Saturday generally, but up to 40 to 50 mm in parts, with a continuing risk of flooding due to already saturated ground and elevated river levels.
