Local firm leads by example by providing free training courses

A Mullingar based firm that provides training to entrepreneurs across the country has introduced a range of free online courses and other supports for businesses and people affected by the economic downturn caused by the coronavirus crisis.

Like thousands of other businesses around the country, Entrepreneur Success, which was founded by award-winning entrepreneur Dean Gammell, has had a difficult few weeks as the economic impact of the crisis takes hold.

However, it hasn't stopped Dean and his team offering a number of supports to fellow businesses and members of the public in a bid to help them through these challenging times.

The firm runs a training programme for SME owners which usually costs participants €1,500, but it has decided to offer it for free to 50 business owners during the current crisis. People who have been laid off in recent weeks can also participate in an online digital marketing course for free, while the firm is also providing training to show people how to successfully secure freelance work online.

Although the courses are free, Entrepreneur Success has asked participants to make a small donation to the Mater Foundation.

The firm is are also running a webinar that will provide people with tools to remain mentally healthy during what is a very stressful time for people of all ages. The webinar will cover topics such as sleeping, nutrition, physical fitness, anxiety and routine planning.

Entrepreneur Success founder Dean is also the man behind the events firms Stag It and Hen It, which provide a range of packages in Ireland and abroad for stag and hen parties. The firms own or control a number of accommodation outlets around Ireland, which they have offered to the HSE for nurses and doctors working on the front line.

In a social media post last week, Dean revealed why he had decided to offer these supports.

“I know first hand how hard this is hitting everyone. My company has had to lay off 11 employees to date. Even at that, we all know how important it is to help any way we possibly can to whomever we can.

“Hopefully, more businesses and people can take this as an opportunity to help more people.”
