No patients on trolleys at Mullingar hospital today

There are no patients on trolleys at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar today.

According to the Trolley Watch survey that members of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation carry out daily, Mullingar is on zero.

The Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore also has a zero figure.

The highest number of patients on trolleys in Emergency Departments nationally is 22, at Cork University Hospital and at University Hospital Limerick.

Twenty two is the full total for the Cork hospital.

At the Limerick hospital there are a further 15 patients on trolleys on other wards, making a total of 37.

Overall, the number of patients on trolleys in hospitals across the country today is 107, 78 in Emergency Departments and 29 on other wards.
