More showery weather with some sunshine on Sunday
It might be the start of July but the unsettled weather recent of weeks will persist throughout the weekend in Westmeath, according to Met Eireann.
This evening (Friday), there will be showers until around 10pm. The temperature overnight will be 14 degrees but it will feel a few degrees colder.
Saturday will also start off showery before drying up in the afternoon and remaining mostly dry, if cloudy, for the rest of the day. The temperature will be a below average 15 degrees.
After a cloudy start to Sunday, the sun could make an appearance in the afternoon for a few hours but the threat of showers will persist. Once again, the temperature will be around 14 or 15 degrees.
We should have a dry if not particularly warm start to next week, before the rain reappears on Wednesday.
