BREAKING: Curraghmore's new home to be finished in weeks

The wait is over. After more than two years of delays it has just emerged that Curraghmore National School's new home on the Ardmore Road will be finished by the end of July.

In a post on its Facebook page, the Still No School parents group announced the "very best of news".

"A guarantee has been given by officials from the Department of Education and Westmeath County Council that our school will finally be completed by the end of July. We are forever grateful to all of the BOM, staff, parents and in particular our amazing Principal, Mr Molloy on getting this school over the line. This is a fantastic outcome for all the children and parents in our community."
